The Faunascapes are designed by architect and graphic designer duo Hanne & Tobias Scheel Mikkelsen. Based in Copenhagen, Denmark where they run a small design studio out of an old eccentric glaciers shop in the heart of the city.
"The Faunascapes are our take on double exposure animal art. The Series is printed on scandinavian birch plywood and on 100% recycled offset paper called cyclus offset.
The Faunascapes is our getaway from the daily routine, an excuse for a quick day dream, and a way of capturing the modern city-dwellers dreams of escapism and wanderlust.
We deliberately go for a warm dusty feeling with gentle color tones for a soft, smooth and dreamy look. We are inspired by the wast open landscapes in North American national parks and the nature and wildlife of Scandinavia where we come from."
